He was soon gagged by a high court order from talking about anything to do with his experieces and will go to prison if he speaks out again. He is now an anti war activist, grateful to WikiLeaks for their disclosures which provided hard evidence for his and other veterans claims. (see no. 17)

20. Mordechai Vanunu
is a whistleblower for weapons of mass destruction. In 1986 he revealed details of Israel's secret nuclear weapons program to the British press. He was lured to Italy and kidnapped by Israeli agents, and spent 18 years in prison, 11 in solitary confinement. After his release in 2004 with heavy restrictions on his speech and movement (no internet or phone calls), he was arrested many times . He spent another 9 months in jail for speaking to journalists and attempting to leave Israel.
