Ross

was one of the first members of the Jesus Christians in Australia in 1981.  Like Alan, he left his family and music teaching career to seriously try to follow the teachings of Jesus.   His wife later divorced him because he no longer agreed with the authoritarian pentecostal church they were married in and was excommunicated by the pastor.  He is the well known face of the Jesus Christians movement on the streets of Australia, befriending people and distributing Christian literature faithfully for thirty years.

Ross is a gifted musician, singer and song writer and plays the guitar, saxophone, clarinet and keyboards, and has worked for love and served God in Australia, the UK, India, Kenya and the United States.  Before and after studying nursing,  he has been involved in a variety of voluntary projects with the poor in India such as cleaning toilets, teaching English, working in cancer hospitals, helping to run a health clinic, covering a sewer and building and adventure playground.   He has been active in the anti-war movement and protests for the release of Julian Assange and Bradley Manning in Australia.  He is involved in a voluntary permaculture garden and community centre in Melbourne.
